Hello, just wanted to mention the 8th Annual Lexi Sabatino Poker Run taking place on July 31st. Each year the Hopkinsville Eagles Club Eagle Riders picks a child in the community who has medical problems and we have raise money to help the family with the bills by holding a poker run and bike raffle--all proceeds go to the family, we keep not one dime. Registration will start at 9:AM at the fairgrounds in Hoptown, the bikes leave en masse at 11:am. The run will be approximately 140 miles. With registration a participant will receive tickets for door prizes, be able to eat a BBQ dinner after the run, and be present for the drawing of the ticket for the bike, a 2010 HD street glide at 7:30-8M. Afterwards there'll be a band and the bar will open. Camping on the grounds is free so you are welcome to bring a tent to sleep in in case you belly up to the bar a time or two too many.

(For those familiar with this event, I had the opportunity to speak to the Stepdad of the first child we sponsored, Lexi Sabatino. He said that she's in remission at this time, and a happy, healthy 14 yr old, and "...she's driving me nuts!" Yup, that's a good sign in a 14 yr old girl!)
