Just checking to see if Hambone or any other hunters are available.

I just looked out my front door and there are FOUR deer LAYING DOWN out in the cornfield behind the barn.

Two of them are small, one has a rack and the other one that is laying around 15 feet away from the others must be a doe.

I would consider grabbing my 30-30 and getting someone a nice trophy but you would have to get here before HarLady gets home and make sure ALL sign of them are gone.

Since HarLady didn't want me to shoot Bambi, I decided to shoot them with my camera instead of my gun.

Here is a pict of them laying down.

There were actually around 1/4 mile away from me, so what I originally thought might have been a small rack, was only their ears standing straight up.
This pict shows how far away they were. They are in the little red circle.

And this pict shows them standing up. I don't know how long they were laying down before I saw them, but there were laying down for at least an hour after I originally spotted them.

We don't have any deer roaming downtown Seattle
but it's 50 degrees and sunny skies this afternoon.
I kid you not, just got back from a putt around the
waterfront and mowed the lawn last week.

And I didn't even see a salt lick in the picture !

Hey Sprocket,
Since you are "experienced" in mowing yards, if you ever get to Southern Indiana during the summer, give me a shout. I have a nice "big" yard I would LET you mow. Mr. Green Mr. Green

Ed, I can mow a yard and plow snow, but your yards tend to be ALL sand and I don't have a Leaf blower or "sand blower", so I'm afraid I would be of no help you to, UNLESS you have one of those "Swamp Boats" or "Air Boats" with a LARGE fan on the back that I could use to move the sand around.
Mr. Green Mr. Green Eek!
