Fake MC T-Shirts

General NewsFake Motorcycle Club T-Shirts

There is a company that is currently selling T-shirts online, representing FAKE Motorcycle Clubs. One shirt uses the words, "Hell Razors Motorcycle Club" with the additional wording "cut throat" and 1938, along with an image of a straight razor on the front and back of the shirt and Pasadena, Calif on the back. There is also a small diamond on the left sleeve, containing either a 1% or 13, but due to the angle of the image, I can not determine positively which insignia it is.

I tried checking out the company that is selling this shirts, thinking it may be some type of Chinese rip-off, only to discover the company is based in Penn. I also discovered they are already in a legal battle over copyright infringement, so I am not sure what will happen to the company but my main concern is for the people buying or worse yet, wearing these shirts.

For anyone to wear any type of "fake" motorcycle club clothing is a slap in the face to every real and past member of true motorcycle clubs, especially the hard core clubs. It has been many years since I personally rode with an unnamed club, so I can not say for certain what their current members or current members of other similar types of clubs will do, but I know beyond any shadow of a doubt what would have happened in the past to any person wearing fake patches, insignia's or any other type of clothing representing such a club. So the only thing I can say now is to offer a warning to anyone buying one of these "designer" knock off shirts. If you value your health, I would strongly advise against wearing anything that resembles or imitates the logo or philosophy of a 1% motorcycle club, especially if you plan on wearing it in public.

And to any biker that is a member of any type of club, if you see someone wearing one of these forgeries, you might want to speak to them in private and let them know how dangerous their actions are.

I read a news article stating Nationally, the number of registered motorcycles rose 61 percent from 1995 to 2005, from 3.8 million to 6.1 million. The number increased 83 percent in Oregon during the same period, from 59,468 to 108,958.

I know there are a lot of baby boomers that have either come back to riding after years of being away or have started riding for the first time in their life.

I wonder how many of them are trying to relive their youth by buying new bikes and then going out and buying "fake" motorcycle club shirts that resemble the old biker movies of the 60's and 70's?

I reciently witnessed a young girl get bent over a pool table and get a "fake" patch cut off of her blue jean jacket. It scared the dickens out of her (and rightly it should have). She didn't know the ramifications of this little rectangular patch. These guys knew she was ignorant of her actions so they only ment to scare her. She said thought it was pretty, as she tried to hold back tears. So... there you go. I know of another individual that just purchased a "onsie" for his newborn son that has "PROSPECT" across the front. I really think these people are oblivious to what these items mean to us old school bikers. I wish there was a way to educate them but I really don't think it would do any good, do you? I'm just sayin'...
